KATH LORIA ... On The Rise!

Catherine Loria a.k.a KATH LORIA has always lived by the motto “Never Give Up!” when she started joining numerous singing competitions here in the Philippines and in the international arena.
She has received remarkable recognitions such as Bulilit Popstar Grand Finalist at MTB ABS-CBN together with Charice (2004), Batang Star Grand Finalist in Eat Bulaga GMA7 (2005), National Grand Champion at Kids For Christ Singing Competition (2006),  World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) Junior World Champion (2008), 2nd runner-up at Sing! Singapore YOG songwriting competition as the Interpreter (2010).
Recently, Kath won 2nd runner-up for her emotional and beautiful rendition of the song ‘Puso Kong Nabuksan’ at the ASOP Music Festival Songwriting Competition (2012) held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
She has done series of shows in Singapore and she is the 1st Filipino youth to be able to have a 2-night solo concert at the Esplanade Outdoor Theater invited by the Singapore’s Esplanade management for the 2010 YFest (Youth Festival).
Surprisingly, Kath had been nominated as the New Best Artist in the Aliw Awards 2011. The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) also awarded her a plaque of appreciation for her excellent contribution in the Arts as the 2008 WCOPA Junior World Champion that was held at Hollywood, USA joined by 42 Countries around the globe.
Kath believes that everyone has its right time to be recognized and acknowledged. She knew that patience is a virtue to be able to reach whatever everyone is dreaming of.   And now, at the age of 17, she is ready to soar higher as an independent artist with a heart, using her talent in helping the less fortunate Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to share her debut album in cooperation with Bantay OCW Foundation for the project of building a second home for OFWs who experienced abuse, maltreatment and unfair labor practices abroad.
A series of fundraising concert will start on December 12, 2012 at the AFP Theater with Mau Marcelo, the 1st Philippine Idol and Headliners Band with the special participation of Rear Admiral Adonis Donato and the OSM Band. Tickets can be bought at Bantay OCW Foundation Operations Center, 631 Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

One Dream One Hope One Nation composed by Mart Ilagan brings inspiration to Filipinos for its strong advocacy to love the Philippines and unite the people for a common good. Four of the songs from this album are penned by his Manager and Mentor Mart Ilagan, Keep On Dreamin’ has a touch of a Pop / RnB style which will inspire the youth, Pag-ibig Ko Ay Ikaw is a heavy ballad love song that every in love persons can relate and This Is My Moment is the story of Kath, her struggle and aspirations to reach her dreams.
A Singaporean singer / composer Sean Wong contributed one song ‘I Believe In You’ when he spotted Kath singing in an event in Singapore. Vehnee Saturno, the Philippines Hitmaker shared 4 magnificent songs (3 originals & 1 cover song)  suited for Kath’s voice, Care About, an inspirational song about loving and caring one another and When I’m With You, a beautiful love song with an easy listening tune about falling in love and being in love.

The single ‘KASI’ will be a sure hit when it starts airing in radio stations  as it relates for the love that you have to keep fighting for. With the influence of Mariah Carey’s style, Kath will have a fresh rendition of ‘Kung Mahal Mo Siya’, a famous hit single of RNB Prince Jay-R.
Kath is very thankful to ASOP for allowing her to include the song ‘Puso Kong Nabuksan’ written by Domingo Rosco which she emotionally and beautifully interpreted during the 2012 ASOP Music Festival.
Kath’s musicality will surprise all her fans for her self-composed song entitled ‘I Fell’, a song comparable to the music of other international artists like Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus.
The album quality is at high standard with Vehnee Saturno as the Album Producer. All songs in the album were arranged by the prime musicians in our music industry today such as Albert Tamayo, Marc Santos, Elmer Blancaflor and Arnold Buena. Other songs were arranged at HB83Studios in Singapore.
